General Trias, Meralco fast-track strategic plan to support city’s growth
Only three months after the City of General Trias, Cavite signed the memorandum of understanding with Meralco under its Energizing Partnerships Program, the Strategic Utility Planning between the local government unit (LGU) and the country’s largest power utility has already been completed. It was the fastest time that Meralco and an LGU were able to complete a strategic plan.
The plan ensures that Meralco will be able to supply power to support the LGU’s growing power demands to ensure the city’s competitiveness as an investment destination. New developments within the city include two major townships and three special economic zones, as well as a new government center. Meralco has committed to ensure the timely energization of these projects.
