All things work can now be done remotely, from managing teams to conducting meetings online. A click on your desktop can start a conference that connects you to offices worldwide.
Today, that power also extends....to power! The Manila Electric Co. (Meralco) gives its customers the ability to manage their Meralco account directly through Meralco Online. You can access Meralco Online through meralco.com.ph or through its app available in the App Store and Google Play.
“This is one of the cornerstones of Meralco’s digital transformation initiatives,” declares Victor S. Genuino, First Vice President and Head of Customer Retail Services and Corporate Communications. “Meralco Online provides simple, fast, and convenient service, by allowing customers to access Meralco services via their mobile phone or their PC.”
Power at your fingertips
Through Meralco Online, customers can:
- Apply for a new service connection
- Get updates and notifications on service applications, bills, scheduled outages, and energy efficiency tips
- Report power outages and request for technical assistance
- Track 12-months historical data on electricity consumption
- Request for after-sales Meralco services such as the Peak Off-Peak (POP) program, load profiling, and Net Metering
- Opt to modify service connection
- Subscribe to paperless billing and pay online
- Enroll in an auto-payment service
Being able to track power consumption over a year is a good way to manage energy usage, Genuino advises. This, plus the ability to directly contact Meralco for advice and service enhancements, means customers can get the most out of their electricity.
Meralco Online offers additional benefits for business customers. Companies with multiple branches, for instance, can now view their bills under just one account, which helps in managing time and budget.
All these, Genuino says, are just the beginning. “We’re always looking for ways to make it more convenient for the customer and make it more customer-centric,” he adds. “We want to stay one step ahead of the future.”
